Effective September 1, 2007, all cargo to Gabon requires a BIETC (formerly BIC/CRN). Carriers may deny loading without a valid BIETC number. Post-shipment activation within 5 days is mandatory.

Key Notes:

• The BIETC must be processed before the carrier issues the original B/L.

• The approved BIETC (PDF) will be emailed to the applicant for onward transmission.

• Vehicles over 3 years old are prohibited for import (March 2017 notice).
